Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multi-state unemployment claims, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies to minimize company liability; partner with restaurant and corporate management teams and the Employee Relations team to gather required documentation and facilitate meetings between third-party unemployment representatives and store leadership to prepare and ensure readiness for unemployment hearings
  • Process and administer requests for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), multiple state and locally mandated leaves, while overseeing compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations in multiple jurisdictions, and company policies
  • Administer internal and third-party non-insurance benefits and develop and deliver related employee communications and education 
  • Provide administrative support for the "Lettuce Help You Fund" (the Company’s employee-funded financial relief fund) 
  • Generate and distribute a variety of ad hoc and scheduled reports and communications
  • Respond to subpoenas for payroll and other employee records in collaboration with restaurant, Corporate and Legal teams
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support across all HR functions
  • Maintain availability to perform duties outside standard business hours on occasion as needed, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Occasionally retrieve and distribute files or office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience 
  • Proficient in Excel navigation and creating basic formulas
  • Restaurant industry experience preferred

Salary Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
